Welcome Back to School Hollenbeck!
As we welcome a new school year Promesa Community School Coordinator Irma organized a "Cafecito With Promesa" for parents, staff, and partners to welcome everyone to a new school year and re-introduce her role at Hollenbeck. As a new member of the Promesa team this was her first opportunity to engage with parents, partners and faculty and go over the goals for the upcoming year.

Earlier this month the President announced his decision to repeal the DACA Program put into place by former President Barack Obama. Hollenbeck students decided to protest this decision with support from one of their teachers and staff members. Propelled by this initial demonstration the students decided to launch a school club dedicated to social justice.
