Gia recently received her Master of Public Administration from USC, where she specialized in Nonprofit Management. While at USC, she worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Education, Identity and Social Justice. Previously, Gia worked to prevent sexual assault on college campuses and served as a Teach for America Corps Member on the Navajo Nation. She received her BA in Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Gia is passionate about educational equity, ending the school to prison pipeline, and mental health and wellness. She is excited to work with an organization like Promesa that listens to the community members it works to serve. In her spare time, Gia likes walking her dog Kona, playing (beginner) guitar, and watching cooking competition shows. Gia currently lives near her family in East Bakersfield but plans to relocate to Los Angeles for her new position with Promesa Boyle Heights.
